It was with a sigh of relief from all at London Region that the Bagcat Championships returned to the re-vamped Crystal Palace.  
 
It was an excellent event with an amazing 45 event best   
performance times and one London Junior record.                                                                                  
                                                                                             
The highlight of the championships was an impressive 1500m freestyle swim by Maddie Tichborne who achieved an EBP and more importantly a London Region Junior record of 17.27.10. She is one of the of the Region's youngest record holders.  She also achieved EBPs in 200m backstroke, 400m and 800m freestyle. 
 
 
 
Also from Barnet Copthall excellent times from Robert Dos Santos who achieved 5 EPBs times in the 10 yr age group 100m free, 200m IM, 400m free, 100m fly and 200m free, Yaron Ash 13 yrs 100 and 200 backstroke, Jodie Hare 11 yrs 100m butterfly, Emily Bell 11 yrs 200m fly and the girls 800m free team.
 
Hillingdon SC were dominant in the very last session of the last day when they took all the 10/12 years 200m team events. The girls 10/12 yrs 200 medley team and free team and the boys 10/12 yrs free team were all won in event best performance times. Individual EBPs from Hillingdon were achieved by Adam Wood 14 yrs 200m back and Louis South 11 yrs 200m fly.
 
 
 
Erin Nabney 11 yrs from Harrow & Wealdstone continues to make a name for herself with EBPs coming in 100, 200, 400 free, 200 IM and 100 breaststroke. 
Likewise Sean Houlihan 13 yrs from Romford Town with EBPs for 200 IM, 100and 200 breast. 
Kieran Gore 10 yrs from Romford achieved an EBP for 200m free, Elena Sheridan 13 yrs for 200m fly and the Romford boys 400 medley team also achieved an EBP.
 
Kingston Royals swimmers were also in the mix with EBPs coming from Mollie Allen 10 yrs 400m free, Vincent De Raucourt 14 yrs 100m free and Molly Savill 13 yrs 100m free.
 
Amrita Robertson 10 yrs from Borough of Waltham Forest achieved EBPs in 100 free, 100 and 200 fly and club mate Nathan Leong 11 yrs an EBP in 200m fly.
 
Further EBPs fell to Charlie Dentith 14 yrs Bor Redbridge 800 free, 200 and 400 IM, Ross Dibblin Leander 100 and 200 breast, Jack Ayling 10 yrs.
Havering Aquatics 200 fly, Lauren Walton 13 yrs Beckenham 200 free, Frederick Cornwell 10 yrs Anaconda 100 back and last but not least Oliver Coe 14 yrs Orpington Ojays 100m back.
 
The Len Badcock trophies for the best swim in any category for a 10 year old girl and a 10 year old boy were presented by Len to Amrita Robertson from the Borough of Waltham Forest and to Robert Dos Santos from Barnet Copthall.
