Jo Calvino (Aquatic Programme Development Co-ordinator) his week Jo has been catching up developments after returning from annual leave and finalising up and coming training and development days so please keep your eyes on the London Swimming website. This week Annabel Kehoe (EDS - Islington) organised the last of the outdoor advertising spaces that will all be in position on Monday morning. The advertising campaign aims to increase the public's awareness of the locality of the local pool, Ironmonger Row Baths. Annabel also worked on providing several pieces of work towards national documents.

Jo Melchior (EDS – Lewisham) started a busy week on Sunday in the glorious sunshine with 70 Lewisham residents and leisure staff touring Lewisham swimming pools on a Routemaster Bus. This was the opening event of the Lewisham Swims month and was a terrific success with participants ranging in age from under 2 to over 70, all having a splashing time. Tuesday saw another of the many events planned recently - this was the launch of the learning offers currently operating in the Borough during October. Invited participants and teachers from the Borough took part in an Adult learn to swim masterclass led by Jo, which had 100% success in getting everyone swimming. The end of the week has seen Jo liaising with Lewisham colleagues working through the Children's Centres to set up learn to swim programmes for U5's, and assisting London Swimming colleagues with the impending Regional Disability Championships which are being hosted by Downham Health & Leisure Centre. Next Monday Jo has another exciting event in Lewisham, hosting in conjunction with Saxon Crown SC, a night with The Olympians / Paralympians - after which Jo will be taking the rest of the week off to recharge her batteries.

This week Jemma Konuralp (Swim21 Quality coordinator) has been visiting more clubs in respect of re-accreditation next year, starting to look at establishing formal Swim21 networks and chasing all those clubs revalidating in November. Next week she will continue to chase the revalidating clubs and work with Griffins of Enfield in respect of their accreditation.
