Message from The President - Richard Whitehead Thank you to everyone who came to the Annual Council Meeting of London Swimming last weekend. The conference was a great success based on the feedback we received from those who attended. It would be good to see more of you at next year's event.
I am just starting on my year's term of office and I would be delighted to come to as many clubs as possible over the next year. I already have an invitation to join Ealing at an early morning training session at 4.40 am!!. If you have an event you would like me to come to, please e-mail on
rands62@hotmail.co.uk with the information.

Colin Brown (RD): This week: Colin will be meeting with interested parties about developing a Borough pathway in Waltham Forest. Everyone present signed up to the principles for developing a pathway and the timescale for developing an
Aquatics Strategy. The first step along that road will be a quality assessment by Nick Juba between now and the end of the year. This will give all parties a clear of understanding of where they stand in terms of the quality of sessions delivered at all levels in the Borough and how we can potentially move forward. Colin also met with his peers in Loughborough at the quarterly Directors meeting. Key items of the Agenda where the impending funding submission to Sport England, a presentation from the ASA's Youth Forum on how they are trying to engage more young people in volunteering. At the end of the week Colin will be meeting with local authorities from the South Sub-region to advise them on our strategic plans and update them on the governments free swimming offer.
