This week Jo Calvino (Aquatic Programme Development Co-ordinator) met with Wandsworth Sports Development & Putney Leisure Centre to look at increasing the opportunities of Diving in the Borough, we are now hoping the programme will be up and running from September which is a great development for Diving. Jo also met with Karen Thorpe, Synchro TDO, Janna Callan & Charlotte Hedge to discuss possible selection criteria for the monthly squads, which Jo is currently putting together, and how to take Synchro forward in London. The remaining time was looking at venues for master classes, seminars & workshops. Jo is off on Friday as she is away competing in Sweden.
This week Janna Callan (RDO) has been concentrating on the Get Wet Swim for free project in Barking and Dagenham the emphasis has been the launch on the 24th August and pool programme for the term time.

The campaign image is now almost there and three out of the four media events in the pools booked. The two additional special events are well into planning stage and hotting up day by day. As soon as the full programme is agreed - hopefully by next week - details will be available on various websites - just incase you feel you want to take advantage of being in a pool in Lewisham this Autumn as it's the place to be!! If anyone is looking for a Level 2 Aquatics course there are some spaces in the one that starts in Lewisham in September - please ask colleagues
This week Jemma Konuralp (Swim21 Quality coordinator) finished her power point presentation for the Annual Conference however she is still in desperate need of more team photographs of Swim21 accredited clubs for her board of fame. She has taken over joint responsibility with Michelle Weltman for the Norwich Union project and therefore asks everyone to register their vote at http://www.joinourteam.com/initiative/showinitiative?id=344 to help the London Disability Swimming Squad get some much needed funds. Next week Jemma will be re-visiting Griffins of Enfield Swimming Club to conduct their final round of assessment interviews in respect of their Swim21 accreditation.
