National Youth and Age Group Championships

Congratulations to all the London Region swimmers who swam so well at the National Youth and Age Group Championships. Many reached finals and there were some excellent Personal Best times.

The following won medals in the National Bagcat Championships

Sean Houlihan, (Romford Town) 2 Gold medals in 12 yrs 100m (1.13.61) and the 200m Breaststroke (2.40.94) and Silver in 200m IM

Vincent de Raucourt Silver in 13 yr 100m F/s.
Bogac Ayhan (Camden Swiss Cottage) Bronze in 14 yr. 100m Fly
Oliver Keegan (Barnet Copthall) Bronze in 14 yr 200m Fly

Kelly Hookway (Camden Swiss Cottage) Silver in 11 yr. 100m F/s
Madeleine Tichborne (Barnet Copthall) 5 Silver Medals in 12 yr. 400m, 800m, 1500m F/s, 200m Back and 400m IM.
Elena Sheridan (Romford Town) Silver in both 12 yr 100m and 200m Butterfly.
Nicola Burlingham (Barnet Copthall) Bronze in 12 yr 100m and 200m Back.
Karley Mann Bronze in 13 yr 200m Back

The following won medals in the National Youth Championships

Edward Walsh (Camden Swiss Cottage) 2 Gold Medals in 17/18 yr 50m F/s (23.23) and 100m F/s (50.43).
Leisje van der Velde also two F/s Gold medals in 16/17 yr 50m (26.52) and 100m (57.08)
Alys Thomas (Kingston Royals) won Gold in 16/17 100m Fly (1.01.86) and Bronze in both 200m F/s and 200m Fly.
Natalie Durant (Ealing) gained Silver in 16/17 200m F/s Bronze in both 50m and 100m F/s
Matthew Breckon (Kingston Royals) Silver in 17/18 800m F/s and Bronze in 400m F/s
Lauren Turner (Ealing) Silver in 14/15in 100m Back and Bronze in 200m Back
Devon Robins (Camden Swiss Cottage) Silver in 14/15 100m Fly
Stephanie Denny (Beckenham) Bronze in 14/15 50m F/s

Ealing Girls Relay Teams were excellent as usual, winning 4 x 100m F/s by almost 5 clear seconds and 4 x 200m F/s Teams by 6 seconds and gaining Bronze in the 400m Medley Team.
