The London Borough of Redbridge Swimming Club and the Jack Petchey Foundation have formed a close and successful working relationship with each other over the past 12 months.
Jack Petchey founded the Jack Petchey Foundation in 1999, with the objective of supporting young people. Its head office is based in the centre of Ilford. It is now among the largest and most influential London charitable foundations focusing on projects and programs for clubs and schools with members aged between 11-25 years old.

The London Borough of Redbridge Swimming Club (LBRSC) has applied and been very successful with monthly and project grants being awarded. Chief Coach, Paul Robbins said “The Jack Petchey Foundation is a fantastic opportunity for our club and all clubs to invest in their youth. We have purchased specialised equipment and invested in training to ensure we give each swimmer the opportunity to develop their skills and achieve their potential. It is a very easy scheme to run and takes very little time. In addition to the club receiving the awards, a swimmer is awarded with a certificate and a medal each month. In return, my club promotes the foundation on our website and we have also had badges sewn onto our club t-shirts”.

Chris Bullock – Grants Officer for the Foundation said “We have been really impressed with the hard work and dedication of Paul and his team at the club, the Jack Petchey Foundation wants to form more partnerships with more swimming clubs in Essex and London”.
