Position: - Chief Coach

Qualification required: - UKCC level three, or working towards Level 3

Due to the opportunity of a lifetime for our current Chief Coach, Bexley Swimming Club,a successful competitive club over many years, is seeking an enthusiastic, organised, highly motivated, and committed qualified Chief Coach, with effect from the 1^st July 2008. 

Established in 1968, we are a Swim21 accredited to Competitive Development level, have around 150 members, catering for all standards of swimming from those just out of swim school‘ through to county, regional and elite National and International level.  

Applicants should be able to demonstrate the following skills

• Ability to motivate and encourage swimmers of all abilities
• Excellence in coaching
• Consistency in coaching approach to be implemented throughout the Club, using the long term athlete development plan.
• Personal coaching of the top squad to prepare swimmers for County, Regional, National and International competitions
• Strong leadership skills to lead and mentor a team of experienced assistant coaches, and poolside helpers
• Ability to communicate effectively with club members, committee and parents
• Sound administration skills
• Commitment to attend certain weekend events to support club swimmers 
• Ability to formulate training and competition programmes to reflect the needs of all levels of ability; focusing on continuing the successes of the Club

The position is self-employed and the candidates ideally will hold an UKCC level 3 Club Coach Certificate or be working towards this level and be working towards licensing and committed to continuing professional development. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the candidate.
