Aqua Extreme
Aqua extreme is a multi-aquatic project designed and developed across the 6 West London Boroughs of Hillingdon, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Brent, Harrow and Hounslow. The project was initiated by the Pro-Active West London Sport & Physical Activity Partnership in order to kick start partnership working with key agencies across West London using a sport specific project.
The project started by bringing together representatives from Local Authorities, the London Community Sport Network, Leisure Contractors, School Sport Partnerships, the ASA and a Swim 21 Club to determine the needs and priorities of Swimming in West London. The agreed project ha been named by the group as Aqua Extreme.
The Aqua Extreme project
To develop fully inclusive aquatic opportunities for school aged children in West London through:
· Structured and fun multi-skill and multi-activity Aquatics that are affordable, accessible and encourage children to learn and enjoy water
· Education and training opportunities to Swimming Teachers, Pool contractors and Leisure staff on multi-skill and multi-activities to raise the quality of teaching, teaching programmes and provision across Swimming pools in West London
· Pathways throughout the sport for children to progress and develop in Aquatics .
