World Winter Swimming Championships

South London Swimming Club are hosting the World Winter Swimming Championships on 9th and 10th February 2008. Outdoor swimming at Tooting Bec Lido has been going on for many years. Check out swimming in the snow in the 1960's (taken from the Daily Express)!

South London Swimming Club have been awarded the World Winter Swimming Championships after they attended the event in Finland with a large number of their swimmers.

The club hosted a practice event last year which was a great success. There were entrants of all ages which took place at Tooting Bec Lido. The event was good fun decorated with Penguins and ice-bergs.
